Dodge didn’t disappoint with the 340 cam engine that they manufactured. This engine was created for use in drag racing and street racing. The difference between it and other high-performance engines is that you don’t lose some of its power when you turn. The 1967 Barracuda was the first vehicle to feature this engine and it was an instant hit.

The Dodge 340 cam engine is one that offers a muscle car lots of roar so that it can be tough and sound tough. That is one of the iconic elements of a great muscle car and also what often turns heads so that people can notice it. The performance of this engine was very substantial during the period of time in which it was introduced.

The average performance was capable of taking a vehicle from zero to sixty in about 7 seconds. The Barracuda was considered one of the most powerful vehicles at that time. The Dodge Viper is a very sporty and fast car. For those that desire speed and love to have a great-looking car, the classic Dodge Viper is hard to pass up. This has many wondering if the Viper will be able to make a comeback or if the end is near for it.
